Civil Process

Civil process is the processing of all paperwork related to civil and criminal court papers handed down from the Judge. The Court Clerk will complete the paperwork and send it to the Sheriff’s Office where a deputy will serve or attempt to serve the individual on the paperwork. Once served the paperwork is returned to the courts so the case may proceed. The papers included in Civil Process are summons, subpoenas, various motions from the court, divorce proceedings, child support/custody proceedings, foreclosures, writs, Sheriff sales, and more.
